10-Year-Old Boy Who Went Missing in Miami Gardens Found Safe

Miami Gardens Police are asking for the public's help in finding a 10-year-old boy who went missing on New Year's Day.

A 10-year-old boy who went missing on New Year's Day in Miami Gardens has been found safe, police said Thursday

Giovanni Damon Carter had been last seen around noon Wednesday in the 3800 block of Northwest 174th Street, police said.


Police said the boy was found Thursday morning. No other details were given.

Carter is about 5-foot, 65-70 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an orange short with a football and black shorts.

Police said he suffers from depression but has not made any threats.
