A Miami man is behind bars in a central Florida jail after he and 49 others were taken down in an undercover investigation targeting adults who were out for sex with what they thought were children.

Jason Perez, 26, was arrested after he traveled for hours from his Kendall home to meet a teen boy for sex on Sunday, according to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.

Perez was just one of the 50 men, ages 19 to 60 and from as far away as Turkey, caught by cops in an Orlando-area home in a week long, multi-agency effort, authorities said. The operation found potential predators online and through social media.

Authorities say Perez used a sex "hook up" app to find what he thought was a 14-year-old boy named "Kevin."

"Kevin" was really two undercover cops, who told Perez several times he was under aged, authorities said. But Perez pressed on, asking "Kevin" for photo proof that he wasn't a cop and encouraging unprotected sex, authorities said.

Though many of the men suspected a set-up, they didn't let up, authorities said.

"They feared apprehension, but yet came anyway," Seminole County Sheriff's Office Maj. Dennis Lemma said.

Perez is now looking at charges of traveling to meet a child he seduced online and using a computer to seduce a child. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.
