Tomas Regalado was sworn in Friday for his second term as Miami mayor.
The ceremony took place at Miami City Hall at 3500 Pan American Drive at noon.
Regalado was elected mayor with about 78 percent of the vote. Challenger Jeff Benjamin had just under 10 percent of the vote, followed by candidates William A. Armbrister, with just above 8 percent, and Tom Baumann, with just above 4 percent.
Three other candidates did not make it onto the ballot. City Commissioner Francis Suarez pulled out of the race after he announced his wife is expecting the couple's first child. He also referenced recent negative turns in his campaign, including a ballot fraud investigation involving two staffers and insensitive tweets sent by a campaign aide.
Former candidates Robert Burke and Mike Suarez also withdrew.
