Miami Police say a city worker was shot at as he tried to intervene in a robbery he witnessed Monday morning.
The incident happened just before noon in the area of Northwest 5th Avenue and 67th Street, Miami Police said.
Police said the City of Miami employee saw the armed robbery in progress and tried to help, and was fired at multiple times.
The bullets missed the worker but hit his city car, police said. Neither the worker or the robbery victim was injured.
Police said two suspects fled the scene.
Nearby Miami Edison High was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
