A mother was arrested after her four children were found in North Miami apartment naked and malnourished, authorities said Tuesday.
Gardine Toussaint, 26, faces four counts of child neglect. She was in jail on $30,000 bond.
Authorities say they found her walking in the hallway towards her apartment. Once inside, four children, ranging from 7 months old to 11 years old, were found home alone and in deplorable conditions, the arrest report said.
All the children appeared hungry and malnourished, and none of them were clothed, the report said. They also appeared to not have any place to sleep, the report said.

The apartment had bags of garbage allover and it was roach-infested, authorities said.
The children were turned over to the Department of Children and Families.
Her attorney’s name wasn’t immediately known.
