Mostly cloudy skies with passing showers have returned to the forecast for the next few days in South Florida.

Even though we’ve turned the calendar to a new month, we’re stuck in a soggy pattern that will continue to add to our wetter-than-average rainy season.

After some early sunshine, cloudy skies and downpours will rule the forecast Monday with highs at 87. An inch of rain is possible by day’s end as rich, tropical moisture helps to fuel the downpours.

Rain chances continue Monday night as lows drop to 77.

High shower and thunderstorm chances continue yet again Tuesday with highs reaching back up to 88.

We should see some more sunshine and drier conditions by the end of the week.
