Occupy Miami Marches in Financial District in Solidarity with OWS

Organizers said they were expecting 2,000 members to participate

Hundreds of  Occupy Miami protesters demonstrated in Jose Marti Park on Thursday, showing solidarity with their Wall Street counterparts, marking the two-month anniversary of the movement's birth in New York.

They marched with signs, chanting, "We are the 99 percent" and "This is an assault on the American dream."

The parade started at 5 p.m., and organizers expected about 2,000 members to participate.

"The 99 percent of us have had enough of the one percent controlling all the laws, and all the regulations, and having everything done in their name," said Kevin Young, an Occupy Miami member.

They are demanding  that politicians in Washington focus on creating jobs and making the millionaires on Wall Street pay their fair share.

"If corporations paid their taxes, we wouldn't have issues about health care or resources for the environment or issues with social services," Young added

The anti-greed demonstration made it's way to Brickell's financial district.
