Arrest Made in Miami Gardens Park Shooting

Tyrone Vincent Bivins was arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder

Police arrested one of the suspects on Friday who they say opened fire in a Miami Gardens park earlier this week, wounding four people including an 11-year-old boy.

According to the Miami Gardens Police Department, Tyrone Vincent Bivins, 20, was charged with four counts of attempted murder and taken to Miami-Dade County jail.

Detectives say some 200 people were at Bunche Park at 2200 West Bunche Park Drive when gunmen drove up in a dark, new model Chevrolet Impala, got out and opened fire on Wednesday night.

Three men, ages 19, 23 and 24, were shot while they were playing basketball on courts in the northwest part of the park. The 11-year-old was hit by gunfire as he was attending football practice nearby, police said.

All four were rushed to Ryder Trauma Center, with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Authorities continue to investigate the shooting.
