One person was killed and two others hospitalized after an SUV collided with a Broward County bus in Plantation Tuesday morning.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. at Broward Boulevard and Northwest 108th Avenue, Plantation Fire Rescue Chief Joel Gordon said.
It's unknown how the crash happened. The passenger of the SUV was killed at the scene and the driver of the SUV was taken to Broward General Hospital as a level 1 trauma, Gordon said.
Four people were on the bus at the time of the crash, and one of them was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The crash caused the eastbound side of Broward Boulevard to be closed between Hiatus and Nob Hill Roads. It was later reopened.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
