Authorities said the incident allegedly occurred at 32nd Ave. and Coral Way.

Miami Police were investigating a claim that a truck driver was tied up and  kidnapped on Tuesday.

Authorities said the driver was unloading his truck at 27th Ave. and South Dixie Highway at a gas station when an unarmed man confronted him.

The man allegedly told the driver to remain calm and tied him up inside the truck. The truck was then driven around, and when it came to a stop, the driver got loose and starting banging on the truck's door, authorities said.

Two people walking by heard the driver, opened the door and let me him out, authorities said. The carjacker stole the driver's keys, cell phone and groceries.

The truck was found at 32nd Ave. and Coral Way.

Aerial footage had shown a man being photographed, while officers watched.  A truck was parked close by.
