Police are searching for a man they say shot two brothers in the parking lot of a Miami restaurant over the weekend, killing one and injuring the other.

According to Miami Police, Gregory and Joshua De Jesus were at the parking lot of La Familia Bar and Restaurant at 2818 Northwest 22nd Avenue when argument broke out between Joshua De Jesus and 25-year-old Barbaro Felix Fortun around 1:20 a.m. Sunday.

As the argument escalated, Gregory De Jesus tried to intervene, and Fortun pulled out a .40 caliber pistol and shot both brothers, police said.

Gregory De Jesus was shot in the abdomen and rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he later died. Joshua De Jesus was shot in the right hip area and also taken to Jackson Memorial, where he was in stable condition.

Fortun fled the scene on Joshua De Jesus's bicycle. He's described as a white male, 5-foot-9, 155 pounds, who was last seen wearing a black short sleeve shirt, sleeveless green military jacket, green army fatigue shorts, white and black sneakers and a ball cap.

He's considered to be armed and extremely dangerous, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
