Police Looking for Suspects Who Beat and Robbed Elderly Man in Coral Gables

    Coral Gables Police are looking for a pair of thieves who beat an elderly man before stealing his wallet and computer earlier this month.

    Coral Gables Police are looking for a pair of thieves who beat an elderly man before stealing his wallet and computer earlier this month.

    The robbery happened Oct. 10 on Salamanca Boulevard as the 73-year-old victim was getting out of his car, according to a Coral Gables Police release.

    Police say the man was attacked by two men, who beat him and threw him to the ground and stole a bag containing his wallet and computer.


    The men also took his phone from his pocket before fleeing the area in a white truck, police said.

    The victim suffered severe facial injuries and was treated by Coral Gables Fire Rescue personnel.

    Shortly after the robbery, one of the suspects was captured by a surveillance camera exiting a car after trying to buy gas with the victim's stolen credit card.
