Police Search for Carjacking Suspects in Miami Gardens

3 suspects caught, two on the run after Miramar carjacking ends with bailout in Miami Gardens

Three suspects were in custody and authorities were searching for two more after a carjacking in Miramar led to a manhunt in Miami Gardens early Friday.

The incident began around midnight when Miramar Police received a call of shots fired from a car in the 3200 block of Foxcroft Road.

Police say a blue 4-door Honda was carjacked and later spotted in Miami Gardens. When officers went to stop the Honda, five men ran out of the car in the area of Northwest 196th Lane and 32nd Avenue, police said.

Three of the suspects were quickly caught while a large search, including officers from Miramar, Miami Gardens and the FBI ensued.

Police haven't identified any of the suspects or given descriptions of the two men who are on the run.

Authorities said guns were found in the car. The incident is still being investigated.
