    A SWAT situation has ended with one suspect taken into custody in Hallandale Beach, police said.

    A SWAT team was called to a home in the area of Southwest 9th Street near 2nd Avenue after a domestic dispute between two brothers turned into a police standoff Tuesday, police said.

    A SWAT situation involving Coral Springs Police ended Saturday after a 26-year-old man who threatened to commit suicide surrendered to authorities.The man was located on a park bench, where he held a gun to his head for several hours. Lt. Joe McHugh said negotiators, along with the man's parents, were on scene to resolve the incident. (Published Sunday, Sep 16, 2012)

    The incident began around noon, Hallandale Beach Police officials said. During the argument, one of the brothers armed himself with a firearm, and when police responded, he had barricaded himself inside his house, officials added.

    Footage from the scene showed officers surrounding the home with weapons drawn.
