Danny Rodriguez and Veronica Quinto were two of the H&M fans who lined the block at Lincoln Road and Pennsylvania Avenue Thursday morning before the opening of the retailer's new store.
Fashionistas lined the block at Lincoln Road and Pennsylvania Avenue Thursday morning waiting to get their hands on the latest finds at the new South Beach H&M store.
17-year-old Danny Rodriguez said he got in line with friends at 8 p.m. Wednesday to wait for the noon grand opening of the retailer's new Miami location at 551 Lincoln Road.
Once it opens, he's headed straight to "the men's section," he said. Previously, the closest location for the Swedish discount retailer was in Palm Beach County.
"It's too far," Rodriguez said. "We're teenagers, we don't have money for gas."
His friend, college student Veronica Quinto, sat next to him in sweatpants. She's shopping for dresses to wear in cold weather. "I would love to get all of them," she gushed.
The new store opens at Miami Beach's revamped Lincoln Theater – with two floors and more than 24,000 square feet.
