The son of Robert F. Kennedy has been charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly clashing with two nurses who tried to stop him from taking his 2-day-old baby boy from a Westchester maternity unit. Broward detectives have released a composite sketch of a man suspected of a beating with a billy club in Deerfield Beach.

The suspect, accompanied by another man, knocked on 46-year-old victim Nicholas Gouzoulis' door just after 10 p.m. on June 21, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The two men beat Gouzoulis on the head, face and arms with billy clubs, BSO said. Gouzoulis collapsed to the floor, and the two kept beating him until Gouzoulis' girlfriend, 29-year-old Amanda Ervin heard them, according to BSO.

The men drove off in a silver, late-model Buick Enclave, officials said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact BSO Detective Scott Nida at 954-480-4300 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
