Two planes were damaged when a Spirit Airlines aircraft clipped a parked US Airways jet at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Monday night, authorities said.
The incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. when the wing of the Spirit Airlines Airbus A-320 clipped the tail section of the US Airways Airbus A-320 while it was taxiing in, Broward Sheriff's Office spokesman Mike Jachles said.
The US Airways plane, which was in a remote parking area, sustained a gash in its tail section, Jachles said. The Spirit plane's left wing was also damaged.
No one was injured and there was no fuel leak.
