Authorities were investigating a suspicious package at the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Courthouse in Miami Tuesday.

The Miami Police bomb squad responded to the courthouse at 400 N. Miami Avenue around 10 a.m.

A bomb squad robot was seen inspecting the package outside the building, and authorities had closed off several streets in the area of the building.

The package was later destroyed and appeared to contain no explosives.

No other information was immediately known.
