Thousands of Bikers Participate in Toys in the Sun Run

Thousands of bikers participated in the 26th Annual Toys in the Sun Run in Broward Sunday.

Broward Sheriff Scott Israel served as grand marshal of the charity event, which brought out nearly 30,000 motorcyclists.

"This is the first one my mother's gotten to see," Dennis Eisenberg said. "My wife and I rode this the last 12 years but were unable to make it today but I thought I'd bring my 91-year-old mother to see her first toy run."

The ride began at Mardi Gras Casino in Hallandale Beach and ended with a party at Markham Park, featuring music from Poison's Bret Michaels.

The event benefitted the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The Toys in the Sun Run is one of the largest motorcycle parades in the world.
