Three people were hospitalized after they were shot outside a Miami Gardens home late Monday night, witnesses and family members said.

The shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. in the 3000 block of Northwest 208th Terrace as the three victims, a woman and two men, were sitting outside talking.

"They were minding their own business talking so I don't know what could have happened," said Audrey Roberts, the father of one of the victims.

Roberts said the woman came running into his house for cover. His front door and garage was covered in blood and bullet holes early Tuesday.

All three were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where their conditions were unknown. Roberts said his son was in a medically-induced coma Tuesday morning.

Witnesses said they heard several gunshots, screams and a car zoom away.

Miami Gardens Police said they're investigating the shooting and looking for the unknown suspects.

Roberts said he's lived in the home since 1998 and has never had any trouble. He said he wants to find whoever shot his son and his friends.

"I'm hoping and praying for all three of them," Roberts said.
