Two Arrested in Brutal Teen Beating at Coral Reef High School

Teen severely beaten after basketball game is still recovering

Miami-Dade school officials say two arrests have been made in the brutal beating of a teen at Coral Reef Senior High School.

The attack happened on Nov. 30 after a basketball game at the school, Miami-Dade Schools Police Chief Charles Hurley said Wednesday.

Hurley said the teen was jumped and severely beaten by a group of other kids.

The victim, identified by his family's attorney as 17-year-old Christopher Lardner, was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center with severe injuries to his face. He was later released but is still recovering at home.

The two people arrested haven't been identified.
