Security guard, female employee injured in shooting outside gentleman's club

A security guard and female worker were injured when a gunman opened fire on them outside a Miami strip club early Wednesday, police said.

The shooting happened around 4:15 a.m. outside The Office Gentleman's Club at 250 Northeast 183rd Street after the suspect got into a dispute with the security guard at the club, Miami-Dade Police said.

Police say the suspect got into his car, a red Toyota Camry, fired some shots and left. Police responded to the scene, cleared it and left.

About 15 minutes later, the suspect and another person returned in the Camry and pointed a rifle out the window and fired, hitting the guard and employee, police said. The suspects then fled the scene.

The 28-year-old security guard was taken to Ryder Trauma Center with a gunshot wound to his arm. He was in stable condition. The woman, who is in her 20s, was taken to Aventura Hospital by an acquaintance and later transferred to Ryder Trauma Center with a possible graze to her face, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black male, heavy set, with dreadlocks. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
