Man shot and killed wife during September house party: US Marshals

The U.S. Marshals and Miami Gardens Police were searching for a man who shot and killed his wife in September, authorities said Tuesday.

Ramone O'Neil Clayton punched and then shot his wife, Stephanie, during a house party on Sept. 23, U.S. Marshals Senior Inspector Barry Golden said. Detectives said the woman was shot in the head.

One Dead After Triple Shooting in Model City

Clayton fled the scene in his vehicle and hasn't been seen since. He faces charges of second-degree murder, Golden said.

The US Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Miami and Miami Gardens Police are working on the case. Authorities had information that he may in the north Florida area, possibly headed to Texas and ultimately trying to leave the country for his native Jamaica.
