4 People Injured After LED Display Fell at Site of Ultra Music Festival: Miami Fire-Rescue
Four people were injured, two critically, after a LED display that hung from a stage fell at the site of the Ultra Music Festival Thursday night, Miami Fire-Rescue said. Agency spokesman Lt. Ignatius Carroll discussed the incident.
Miami's Ultra Music Festival Expanding to 2 Weekends
Ultra Music Festival will be extending the party to two weekends in March 2013. Miami Police spokesman Sgt. Freddie Cruz and resident Carol Storms spoke about Ultra's expansion.
This weekend's Ultra Music Festival at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami kicks off Friday and police want motorists to be aware of some roadway changes.
Beginning Friday at 10 a.m., all southbound traffic along Biscayne Boulevard will be detoured at Northeast 4th Street, west to Northeast 2nd Avenue and continue southbound from there.
All northbound traffic along Biscayne Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes and shifted to the southbound lanes at Southeast 1st Street. It will continue northbound until Northeast 4th Street, where it will be shifted back to the regular northbound lanes.
Miami Police officers will be assigned throughout the area to help with traffic control.
Ultra Music Festival gates open at 3 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. They close at midnight Friday and Saturday and close at 11 p.m. Sunday.
