Video of Hollywood Hotel Robbery Released

Police looking for two suspects who robbed Comfort Inn

Police are searching for two men who robbed a Comfort Inn in Hollywood nearly a month ago.

According to the Hollywood Police Department, the incident happened around 1 a.m. on November 14 when two black males entered the Comfort Inn located at 2520 Stirling Road attempting to rob the hotel.

Surveillance video released Wednesday shows one of the men reaching over the counter attempting to locate the cash register. After his unsuccessful attempt, he returns to the front entrance and steals a wallet from a customer. He is seen fleeing the hotel seconds later.

Police say the second suspect then pulled out a small chrome or silver semi-automatic handgun and walked toward the security guard, ordering him to get on the ground. When the security guard did not comply, the suspect pushed him to ground, jumped over the counter and demanded cash from the clerk, who told him money was not left at the counter.

He then went to the front exit, which had been automatically locked, before fleeing from a rear exit.

The first suspect is described as a black male about 6-foot-0, thin build, who was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect is a black male with a light complexion, stocky build, with a trimmed beard and about 5-foot-8. He was wearing a Nike zip up long sleeve sweater with a white strip down sleeve, grey sweat pants and Nike gym bag.
