Afternoon showers and storms are likely in South Florida Friday before the pattern quiets a bit into the weekend.

With slow moving showers and storms developing, locally heavy rains are possible this afternoon. Highs will be around 88.

The remnants of Dorian are spread out over the Bahamas this morning, but they’re likely to lift north. Regardless, a return of moisture to the region Friday will allow for more storms to form and move to the eastern side of the peninsula.

As the weekend begins, more sunshine returns with the threat of mid-day showers and storms across the area with highs in the lower 90s.

Through the weekend and into next week, daily storm chances will continue as part of the forecast.
