Weather Forecast: Scattered Storms With Downpours Monday

Summer-like pattern hangs on across South Florida

A summer-like pattern hangs on across South Florida with daily shower and thunderstorm chances as the first full week of autumn begins.

South Florida will stay on the south side of a stalled front, leading to muggy and wet conditions for much of the week. Locally heavy downpours are possible with some of the daily showers.

Expect mostly cloudy skies Monday with locally heavy downpours and highs around 89. Tuesday and Wednesday should be the same with more storms and highs around 90.

By next weekend, South Florida should transition back to sunshine with a drier forecast.

There are no named systems in the Atlantic basin at this time. Hurricane season runs through November 30th.
