West Palm Beach Sign Spinner Arrested After Dancing on Street

Ryan Brown was arrested on misdemeanor charges.

A West Palm Beach sign spinner was arrested after getting a little carried away with his routine.

Ryan Brown, 22, was arrested Tuesday after authorities received calls saying he was dancing on the street and distracting drivers, according to the Sun Sentinel.

Palm Beach deputies said Brown was holding a sign advertising a sale at Cornerstone Tile and Flooring at the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard, Wabasso Drive and Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, the newspaper reported. When officials arrived to the scene, they saw him step off the median and dance on Okeechobee, according to the Sentinel.

When authorities tried to talk to him, Brown cursed at them and tried reaching into his pocket, refusing when deputies told him to stop, the Sentinel reported.

Brown was arrested and charged with failure to obey law enforcement, resisting an officer without violence and violation of right of way, online jail records show.

However, the misdemeanor charges aren't going to keep Brown from returning to work.

"He will be back to hold the sign," employer Hector Peart told the Sentinel. "He will just have to do it a little differently."
