A tropical storm warning continued for coastal Broward and Miami-Dade counties Thursday as Hurricane Sandy continues to march towards the Bahamas.

Sustained winds will increase Thursday with intermittent showers. Expect winds to run out of the northeast from 25-35 with gusts possible to 40-45 possible by late afternoon.

Winds Thursday night may gust out of the north around 40 mph while turning to the northwest and gusting to 45 mph by Friday afternoon.

Sunshine will return with lower humidity for the weekend as Sandy moves away from the east coast of Florida.
