Woman Arrested for Injuring Husband's Testicle: Cops

Maryann Scott was charged with domestic violence

A Vero Beach woman was arrested after authorities say she grabbed her husband's testicle and refused to let go until he returned a ring to her.

On Nov. 26, police responded to a 911 call from Maryann Scott's husband and charged her with domestic violence. A jail official said she was released on Nov. 27.

According to the police report, the husband was lying on the couch in his living room when his wife noticed her $15,000 ring was missing from the place she normally kept it.

Scott confronted her husband about the missing ring becoming very upset when he refused to tell her where he had hidden it, the report said. She then grabbed a knife and threatened to kill him, the report said.

Instead, she put down the knife and walked over to him as he lay on the couch, the report said. She reached down and "firmly" grabbed his left testicle and refused to let go, authorities said.

The police report stated that she held on for about two minutes before finally releasing her grip.

The husband  told police that the couple was having marital problems, and that he was going to be filing for divorce. She said her husband had been drinking that night, the report said.

When authorities arrived at the scene, a photo of the testicle showed red marks and bruises.

Authorities said that evidence was enough to determine she was the primary aggressor.

It wasn't immediately known if she had an attorney.
