A middle-aged Port St. Lucie woman facing a disorderly intoxication charge after she ran around a hotel in her underwear knocking on doors said being pregnant made her do it, police said.

Marianne Porcaro, 51, was arrested in the early morning hours of Nov. 15 following the bizarre romp at a Holiday Inn in the 10100 block of S. U.S. 1, according to a Port St. Lucie Police report obtained by TCPalm.com.

An officer responded to the hotel around 12:30 a.m. where the manager said the woman had been running around in her bra and panties and knocking on doors of other guests, the report said.

The manager told the officer that a fire alarm had been pulled at the hotel and he thought she had done that too, the report said. The manager told the officer he could find the woman in the pool area, which was closed but apparently the woman had jumped the fence, the report said.

The officer found Porcaro and told her to get out of the pool, which she did. The officer then inquired about Porcaro's near-nude escapade.

"When asked why she was running around the hotel in her bra and panties and knocking on the other guest doors waking them up, she said she was pregnant," the report said.

Porcaro then told the officer she "had drank approximately a six pack of Budweiser and that was why she was acting the way she was," the report said.

According to the report, Porcaro appeared intoxicated, was having a difficult time walking and was slurring her words, the report said.

A guest told the officer he had seen Porcaro pull the fire alarm, which caused several hotel guests to evacuate their rooms.

Porcaro was arrested for disorderly intoxication and had to be medically cleared before she was booked into jail because she had said she was pregnant, the report said.

She was later released on $375 bond, records showed. It was unknown whether she has an attorney. She could still face additional charges for allegedly pulling the fire alarm, the report said.
