A Florida woman is facing a domestic battery charge after police say she attacked her boyfriend over a $400 cable bill for pornography.
Robin Bottieri, 51, was arrested at her Hobe Sound home on April 23, according to a Martin County Sheriff's Office arrest affidavit obtained by TCPalm.com.
According to the affidavit, Bottieri told deputies she arrived home and was told by her boyfriend that their cable was turned off.
Bottieri called the cable company and was told there was a $400 bill for pornography outstanding and she confronted her boyfriend, the affidavit said.
When the boyfriend admitted to ordering the shows, Bottieri became enraged and spit on him, the affidavit said. The boyfriend pushed her onto a couch and a fight ensued, the report said.
During the fight, Bottieri ripped her boyfriend's shirt off, the report said.
Bottieri called 911 and the boyfriend left the house, but deputies found him nearby a short time later, according to the affidavit.
The boyfriend verified Bottieri's version of events and she was arrested and booked into the Martin County Jail. It was unknown whether she has an attorney.
