Fort Lauderdale Police are investigating a shooting that sent a woman to the hospital Thursday.
The shooting happened shortly after noon in the 1300 block of Northwest 8th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale Police spokeswoman Det. DeAnna Greenlaw said.
The woman, who wasn't identified, was taken to Broward Health with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, Greenlaw said.
Police were at the scene searching for at least one suspect. No other information was immediately known.
