Norwegian's New Mega Cruise Ship Thrills With Ferrari-Branded Racetrack

Cruise passengers searching for a need for speed at sea can look no further.

Norwegian Cruise Line announced that its latest 3,850 passenger vessel, the Norwegian Joy, will feature a first at sea two-level Ferrari-branded racetrack.

Located on the top deck of the ship, the thrill ride will allow passengers to race against up to 10 drivers in electric go-carts through the sea breeze.

The Miami-based company says that Ferrari represents fun, passion and a competitive spirit, and that this first-ever partnership will bring the spirit of the brand to Norwegian Joy’s guests.

Norwegian Joy will be the cruise line’s first purpose-built ship for the Chinese market, designed to bring guests a “First Class at Sea” experience.

The cruise ship will also feature an open-air laser tag course, thrilling simulator rides, interactive video walls and two multi-story waterslides.

In addition to thrilling activities, passengers seeking a more relaxed experience can enjoy a tranquil space park and an upscale shopping district including world-renowned global luxury brands.

Norwegian Joy will officially be delivered on April 27 in Bremerhaven, Germany, and then set sail for China.
