Free Back-to-School Vaccines for Children in Broward and Miami-Dade

The Florida Department of Health is offering free immunizations for school-age children.

    As children prepare to go back to school, Broward and Miami-Dade health officials are asking parents to keep the kids’ vaccines up to date.

    In order to do so, they are offering free back-to-school vaccines, before the children begin classes.

    The University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center has been named the top hospital in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metro area by U.S. News & World Report. The CEO of Jackson Health System, Carlos Migoya, and recent patients Yasser Lopez and Aaron Willis celebrated the news at an employee rally Tuesday.

    The Florida Department of Health is offering free immunizations for school-age children next month in various locations throughout Miami- Dade and Broward.

    The vaccines will be available at the free clinics that will be offered from August 5 – 20.
