The University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center has been named the top hospital in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metro area by U.S. News & World Report. As children prepare to go back to school, Broward and Miami-Dade health officials are asking parents to keep the kids’ vaccines up to date.

In order to do so, they are offering free back-to-school vaccines, before the children begin classes.

The Florida Department of Health is offering free immunizations for school-age children next month in various locations throughout Miami- Dade and Broward.

The vaccines will be available at the free clinics that will be offered from August 5 – 20.
