21st Slaughtered Horse Discovered
The horse was newly shod and appeared well-cared for.

Remains of another slaughtered horse were found Saturday in Homestead by recreational riders -- the 21st such grisley finding so far this year in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Richard Couto, an investigator with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, called it a "typical slaughter." Remains were found strewn over several hundred feet, the back legs missing, and the organs in plastic bags.
"This was done by pros."
It was not, apparently, done by any of the four suspects arrested and charged in two of the previous horse killings. Authorities say the burgeoning market for horse meat in South Florida means there are multiple perpetrators carrying out the murders.
Couto believes this horse, a well-cared-for 3-4 year old bay thoroughbred with new shoes who remains unidentified, was butchered at another location and dumped.
