A three-year-old child died yesterday afternoon after shooting herself with a gun found at a relative's house in Homestead.
The child, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead after being airlifted to Miami Children's Hospital. Early indications are that someone at the home in the 13700 block of Southwest 280th Terrace owned the gun.
A man named Bernard Coley told CBS news the tragedy happened at his brother's house, and that his brother called 911.
"Right now I'm kinda upset that they won't tell me no information I mean they won't tell me anything they won't let me talk to him," Coley said. "They won't even tell him to call me."
Police have not said if charges will be filed.
