The baby-faced kid accused of participating in the horrific burning attack of 15-year-old Michael Brewer spoke today to express his sorrow over the attack.
"I want to express my deepest sympathy for Mikey and his family," said Jeremy Jarvis, 13, "I will pray for Mikey to grow stronger every day."
Jarvis is the youngest of five teens who have all been accused of setting their former friend and classmate on fire outside a Deerfield Beach apartment complex on Oct.12. His older brother Denver Jarvis, 15 has been charged with attempted murder in the attack. Also charged are Matthew Bent, 15, and 16-year-old Jesus Mendez. All three have been in jail since the attack, awaiting trial.
Jeremy Jarvis and 16-year-old Steven Shelton were released from a juvenile detention center after the state declined to press charges earlier this month.
Jarvis, who spoke from his lawyer's office in Fort Lauderdale, also had a message for his older brother.
"I want to tell my brother, D.C., that I love and miss him," Jarvis said.
Meanwhile, Brewer, who has been recovering at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami since the attack happened, talked to detectives yesterday, as they build a case against his attackers.

It was the first time Brewer had spoken with the police since the attack, which left him with burns on over 65 percent of his body.
"He gave a complete statement that should prove very helpful," Broward Sheriff's spokesman Jim Leljedal told the Sun-Sentinel.
Brewer was moved out of intensive care just last week, though he still faces months of rehabilitation in the hospital. A press conference has been called on Wednesday to update Brewer's progress.
Generous supporters of the Brewer family continue to come forward to lend emotional and financial support. A fundraiser this past Saturday featuring members of the Miami Dolphins raised over $50,000 for the teen. And at last night's Panthers game, the team raffled off signed equiptment, tickets and even a Zamboni ride to benefit Brewer.
