Channing Crowder Not Really Up On Anne Frank

Apparently all dead women look alike to Channing Crowder

Few people think rationally when extremely angry.

Fewer still confuse a 14-year-old diarist who died in a Nazi concentration camp with an Alabama-born deafblind activitist who passed away in 1968.

That's just how special Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder is: while accusing Baltimore Ravens fullback La'Ron McClain of spitting in his face during yesterday's 26-10 Dolphins loss, Crowder confused Anne Frank and Hellen Keller, two women who probably shouldn't be roped into a football tirade in the first place.

Though left tackle Jake Long urged a Dolphins staff member to reign in his teammate, it was too late.

"I just got told not to talk about it, so I can't talk about it...But Le'Ron McClain spit in my face. He spit in my face. That's some real ho s---...."

Crowder said when he complained to the officials, they told him they didn't see McClain spit at him.

"Then they said something about they let Karlos Dansby get away with a facemask the play before," Crowder said. "Who the f--- cares? A guy just spit in my face! I don't give a damn about Karlos pulling somebody's facemask. Like they didn't see Chad Henne get hit twice when he slid. Yeah, [the officials were] a little Stevie Wonder and Anne Frank."

Asked what the Anne Frank reference meant, Crowder said "Who was that? Is that the blind girl? Helen Keller...I don't know who the f--- Anne Frank is. I'm mad right now. F--- it. I'm not as swift as I usually am."

Of course, Crowder's usually "swift" speed is the one that doesn't know where London is and thinks no black people live there, so here's hoping he never touches a mic when truly apoplectic. Or, you know, ever again.

As for the spitting, McClain denies it ever happened, and said that he plays football only "between the whistles." Let's just note Crowder went to the University of Florida, and once we stop cringe-laughing, pretend this never happened.
