The Broward School District may have to bench Dadrion Wilson for good after the assistant football coach was busted with pocketfuls of drugs and a gun during an early morning traffic stop in North Miami Beach.

Wilson, 30, a coach at Deerfield Beach High, reportedly dropped a baggie of cocaine as he stepped out of the passenger seat after he and one of his student/athletes were pulled over around 1:40 a.m. on June 8.

Police searched the car and found a loaded handgun in the passenger door. Then, as Wilson was being taken out of the squad car at the police station, cops found a bag of weed where he had been sitting in the back seat.

Wilson was hit with drug and gun possession charges and the driver, 18-year-old Donte Dotson, was charged with driving without a license.

"The district is investigating the entirety of the incident," schools spokesman Andrew Feirstein told the Sun-Sentinel.

"When I heard that, I was kind of shocked," Dillard football coach Manny Martin, who coached at Deerfield Beach with Wilson last season, told the Sun-Sentinel. "I wasn't there so we'll have to wait to see what happens."
