Police officer Michael Brown probably loves the slogan, "You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream."

Now his boss is screaming for Brown's job after the Delray police officer used his badge to extort some free ice cream from a Ben and Jerry's employee, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Brown, who joined the force in 2007, must have thought free food was one of the perks for wearing the badge. He had also skipped out on paying for pancakes at a local IHOP a few weeks before the ice cream incident.

An internal affairs investigation released Friday concluded Brown made more than an innocent request when he asked the ice cream parlor employee to give him a couple of scoops of strawberry cheesecake flavored ice cream on the house.

"We protect you, why can't you hook me up?" Brown told the frightened employee, according to internal affair's documents.

Police Chief Tony Strianese called the Busch league move intimidation and recommended Brown get the boot from the force. The city manager agreed.

What Brown probably should have asked the Ben and Jerry's employee for was an application because now he's out of a job.
