It took a month but authorities finally got around to arresting a Palm Beach County deputy who allegedly stormed into his ex-girlfriend’s house, confronted a man hiding in her closet and stuck a gun into his chest before chasing him away.
Deputy Ronald Young was charged with burglary and aggravated assault on Friday, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The incident occurred Sept. 16 when Young, who was off-duty, showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s Wellington house at about 9:30 p.m.
The victim called 911 after being chased away at gunpoint.
Young, who was hired in 2004, apparently bonded out on a $53,000 bail and remains on house arrest.
