It was a somber night in Coral Springs as family and friends said goodbye to 14-year-old Matthew Gorzynski at his wake last night while brother William sits in jail, accused of stabbing his younger brother to death.

Friends consoled the grief-stricken family, as they expressed to the public that both sons were well liked.

"I think Matt is an amazing person and he was a very big part of my life and I shed a lot of tears losing him but I know I will see him again somedsay," said classmate Kayla Erichsen. "I'm sure Will didn't mean to hurt his brother, it was an accident."

It's been a nightmare for the family since that day just over a week ago, Oct. 26, when 15-year-old Will grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his brother after an argument in their home.

A 911 call captured Will in astonishment after the incident.

"Please help him," Will pleads with the operator. "He's bleeding, please hurry."

Will has been charged with 2nd-degree murder in the death, and is being held in a juvenile detention center. State prosecutors still have to decide whether to charge him as an adult or a juvenile. Gorzynski's lawyer said he was acting in self-defense, and hopes the charges will be lowered or even dropped.

At last night's wake, classmates wore shirts in support of Will's release. Accompanying a photo of Will, the shirts read "Free Willy: The Truth Will Set You Free."

Dad Tom Gorzynski has already lost one son, now he just wants the other to come home.

"I want him to come home to the people he loves and I want him to get help to get over this terrible thing that he has done that I'm sure that the way I'm feeling it pales in comparison to the way he's feeling right now and he's so alone where he's at," Tom Gorzynski said.
