Gunmen Target Greyhound Bus on I-95

No passengers injured in Sunday night highway shooting

Gunmen opened fire on a Greyhound bus traveling on I-95 Sunday night, the second shooting on the highway in South Florida in the past two weeks.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bus was traveling northbound near Hallandale Beach Blvd. when a dark Land Rover Discovery pulled up along side it and someone inside opened fire.

Several windows were damaged in the gunfire, including one that was shot out. None of the 25 passengers on board was injured.

The passengers were picked up by another bus and continued on their journey, according to the FHP.

The shooting comes less than who weeks after a tourist from Colombia was shot in the face while driving southbound near Northwest 95th St. in Miami. The man was hospitalized and later released, and his pregnant wife, who was also in the car, was uninjured.

Authorities are still investigating both shootings.
