Missing law student called cops three days after disappearance

The 28-year-old FIU law student who hasn't been seen in over two weeks called 911 three days after he went missing, according to a release from campus police.
Tommy Daniels stormed out of a Cici's Pizza in West Miami-Dade on Nov. 2, telling a friend "They're coming to get me."
Friends and family haven't seen him since but it turns out he called Miami Beach Police just three days later, on Nov. 5.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center by a Fire-Rescue unit, but the hospital has no record of him being admitted or treated. The release didn't state why Daniels was taken to the hospital.
At the time he called police, Daniels wasn't reported as a missing person because nobody had reported him missing until 9 days after the pizzeria incident.
Daniels' mother is understandably concerned.
"He has never done anything like this before," Denise Daniels said Saturday from her home in southern California. "He has his own life, but he always checks in with one of us...The last time I spoke to him, he told me he was seeing a psychiatrist. I hope it's a mental thing and not that bad people were after him."
Meanwhile FIU police continue to search hospitals, shelters and other facilities for the missing student.
“We are still very concerned about Mr. Daniels’ safety and ask the community to assist us in locating him,” said FIU Police Chief Bill King.
