A body found in the woods near MetroZoo last month has been identified as that of Gloria Marinckovic, who went missing from her Kendall home at the beginning of April.
On April 19, employees at the zoo found the remains of her body in some woods while collecting food for the giraffes.
The Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Tuesday that it was 60-year-old Marinckovic, but did not release a cause of death. Marinckovic suffered from Alzheimer's disease and may have simply wandered away from her house, reports CBS4.
Her family reported her missing the first week of April.
How she ended up at the zoo and what led to her demise is still a major question.
