It didn't take long for Carlos Bertonatti to land back behind bars.

The local musician accused of running over a cyclist last month is now accused of misleading Homeland Security officials, which makes him a flight risk, according to Miami-Dade prosecutors.

The issue actually centers around Bertonatti's name.

Prosecutors said the 28-year-old shares the same name as his father, which they believe he would use to sneak out of the country undetected. At a bond hearing after his initial arrest, Bertonatti relinquished his Venezuelan passport, but prosecutors believe he is hiding an Argentinian passport.

A judge bought the argument and sent Bertonatti back to lock up until his trial starts for DUI manslaughter in May.

On Jan. 17, Bertonatti allegedly hit and killed Christopher LeCanne on the Rickenbacker Causeway. Bertonatti fled the scene, but police caught up with him after a brief chase. LeCanne crumpled bike was still lodged underneath Bertonatti's car.

Investigators claim he was speeding and drunk at the time of the crash.
