A passenger on an American Airlines flight from Guatemala City to Miami is now in custody after a fight with a flight attendant.
According to an American Airlines spokesperson, about an hour into the flight a male passenger got into a verbal altercation with a male flight attendant. The passenger was asked to sit down, but he did not comply and instead proceeded to follow him toward the galley at the front of the plane.
The passenger then proceeded to poke and shove him, at which point he was asked to sit down once more. When the passenger refused, and it was only after the captain asked everyone to sit down that he finally did.
When the plane landed, the passenger was escorted off by local law enforcement.
The flight attendant was not injured.
