Video Shows Murdered Model Left Club Alone

Paula Sladewski left Space night club never to be seen alive again

It's hard to learn much in eight seconds of grainy surveillance video, but one thing seems clear: Paula Sladewski left Space night club alone early Sunday morning.

The body of the aspiring model was found later that night burning in a trash dumpster in North Miami.

What happened between the time 26-year-old Sladewski left Space night club and the time police were called to extinguish the body is still a mystery.

The video, obtained by NBC, shows Sladewski, easily distinguishable by her flowing, bleach blond hair, walking out of the club at around 7:21 a.m. in a black mini skirt. She is swinging her purse as she walks out of the exit, followed by a man in a dark suit.

Those few seconds may be the final moments anyone saw Sladewski alive.

Police still have not revealed any suspects in the homicide case, despite claims by Sladewski's family that boyfriend, Kevin Klym may be the culprit. He is currently a person of interest, police said.

Klym has hired attorney Marc Beginin, who said Friday that his client was not the last person seen with Sladewski, but that security at the club saw the model leave with an African-American male.

"My client is Caucasian and he was long gone by the time she came out," he said

Klym and Sladewski flew to Miami from California to celebrate New year's Eve at the Lady Gaga concert.

Klym, 34, told police he and Sladewski got into a fight at the club and he was kicked out. He returned to the couple's Miami Beach hotel to wait for her to come home, he said. She never did and that's when he called her parents in Michigan.

Richard Watkins, Sladewski's stepfather, claims the woman had sent text messages claiming Klym was trying to kill her.
