Police search for parents of young boy found alone

Police have found the mother of a todder spotted wandering the streets of Tamarac on his own this morning.

The little boy, 2-year-old Jayden Fitzgerald was found early this morning outside the St. Andrews apartment complex on the 8000 block of Nob Hill Road. He somehow crept out of the apartment while his mother Meghan Fitzgerald, 19, slept.

Police later found his mother and the two were reunited at a BSO substation. So far Mama Fitgerald has not been charged by police, but the boy is being kept with protective services while investigators determine if some one is at fault.

The incident marks the third time yongsters have decided to walk the streets solo in recent months. Luckily, none have been injured and all were returned to their parents.
